iMPC Pro and MPC Element

Having watched the Retronyms video showing the integration between iMPC Pro and MPC Element I thought I would take the plunge and get both. However, there does not seem to be any way to set up the Element to respond to velocity as shown in the video. Also, in the video it shows the ability to navigate through iMPC Pro via Element buttons but I can't do this either.
Am I missing something as currently it feels a bit like I have wasted £100. Any help gratefully received.

Its a bug they say theyll address quickly in an update, according to their FB page.

Yeah it's a bug, but navigation is limited, you will still need to use the iPad to navigate to some screens but that's to be expected
