I'm trying to use my MPC 500 in a live on-stage context. My idea is to build a song on the MPC, with samples panned in stereo, then run the left and right outputs to different locations on the stage, for a textured, "stereo" effect.
I'm trying to think of the best way to do this while providing a synced metronome for the drummer thats not part of the main out signals.
One idea I had was to incorporate a second MPC, with more samples and a click track panned hard left, and run just the left out to a monitor for the drummer. Is there an easier way? If that is the easiest way, is there a way that I can link the two MPCs so that both are synchronized in time?
Thanks
