Do tell

Well, I won't tell what's on our list, but from 1.7, you can tell that we've been slowly plucking away from it:

*Direct Record
*One Shot in Sample Edit
*Key in fractions with number pads (ie 87.5 bpm is now entered as 875)
*Global Program Edit from hardware (Edit Zones)

One of the highest features on my list:

Set the sample start time, per zone. Dial in a later or earlier star time. This is the delay or -delay for the sample start time.

I have only seen this feature on the MPC 4k.

This is a very valuable feature for drum and sound design. Why? It allows you to set the phase relationship between layered samples. This can make things "bigger", "smaller", and make something like stacked claps sound amazing.

I hope one shot mode on pads 13-16 (play loops) in Sample Edit mode makes it in 1.8. Fully disappointed that it wasn't included, great that everything else I wanted made it though.

wonder how long we will have to wait for mpc 1.8

also

it seems that **** mpc **** up certain small stuff

like if i try to change the bars to add or subtract bars with the scroll on the mouse it goes from like 4 to 38 and stuff. shit pisses me off.

;(
hope they fix this!

The only legacy feature that I'm missing is being able to hold overdub to input notes from the main sequencer window on the hardware. I know you can do this by holding shift and step sequence, but this takes you to a different window on the hardware that contains all the note information or whatever. The only reason I don't like inputting notes from that window is that if I want to change my note quantization or bpm I either have to do it from the software or back out of step sequence mode, and I tend to change my note quantization a lot as I'm programming beats this way. This is the only thing missing for me. 1.7 is kicking @ss now that I got the virtual outs working! If overdub is added then my entire mpc2000xl workflow will have been updated to the 21st century. I know it's a minor feature but please add this to a future update! Keep up the good work guys!
