Hello MPC-Forums,
I am a 5000 and 2500 user and now MPC Beats user. I assume Renaissance introduced the OS, so I have been unfamiliar with it for some time now, and I have some questions for anyone who can help me please.
1. How do I warp/time-stretch a chromatically assigned sample to a single BPM, with no slowdown/speedup up and down the scale? This might be right in front of my nose, but I am finding nothing that will do this.
2. Is anyone using a Novation Launch Control with Beats? Is there a way to assign the Launch Control faders to the Beats mixer? MIDI Learn doesn't seem to give me the option, so I'm wondering if there is a workaround. 8 faders for 8 tracks limit would be perfect.
3. Is this a bug? If I have a second, third, etc option selected in a dropdown menu on the left (ie, track 2 or instrument 3) and I want to select <none>, Beats won't let me select <none> until I first select the 1st item on the list, and only after that will it let me select the above <none> option.
4. I've loaded projects from my 2500 and 5000 into Beats and I love this, however all of my samples are extremely loud. I am very careful not to record them hot in the machines. Anyone else find themselves having to drop their levels in Beats way down on imported projects?
This forum was a big help to me in the past. Thanks for any and all future input. I'll probably have more questions.
