I wonder how many of you actually use the MPC Software on the desktop as a DAW? I found it pretty rudimentary, but competent enough to do most of the basic stuff I need and since I'm not a pro I don't have to polish my "music" to perfection anyway.

If you're using other DAW instead, can you please mention it?

I work similar to bees... I'd say 50/50 finish on the MPC or in Ableton. The workflow is what keeps me partially interested in the Force, but also why I haven't jumped over since I'm pretty well versed with Ableton and there's a lot more I can do over there when I want to... and it is a pretty big investment for the Force that isn't even finished yet :(

If I can ever get Studio One and my MPC to sync in a satisfactory way, I'll record tracks straight in then do mixing and automation stuff in Studio One. However, this isn't as easy as I'd hope (nothing is really on the MPC, besides chopping samples which I absolutely love the simplicity of).. So, in the mean time I'm just jamming on the MPC - maybe recording some live stuff straight into Studio One with no sync.

Standalone only, no computer daw, don’t like mpc software anyway.
I make beats, not songs, not concerned with polishing to society’s perceived perfection, don’t care.

Pretty much on par with what Lampdog said. I try and do everything in the box regardless which MPC I'm using but in a once in a blue moon occasion that I really need to track it out then I track it into the Tascam Portastudio DP24 then I might take the bounced stems and use Reaper for final tweaking and effects if needed.
