Hopefully somebody can help,
I've tried to open up MPC software inside Cakewalk by inserting it as an instrument track. It crashes Cakewalk every time. I can get it to load, but as soon as I open a project, it freezes and then crashes. I can open it up inside the FX bin, but its not responding to midi information.
Im running the following
MPC 2.8.1
Cakewalk Version 2020.09 (Build 006, 64 Bit)
MSI Workstation w/ 32GB RAM, i7 4cores @ 2.8GHz, 8GB NVIDIA QUADRO card, 500GB SSD, 1TB HDD,
2TB Ext SSD
Focusrite Scarlett Solo 2nd Gen

Any help would be appreciated

I have tried in the previous CbB build (still haven't updated) and it only worked when Cakewalk was on one particular audio driver - the Windows Wasapi driver. Haven't tried again, but it didn't work with any ASIO driver like ASIO4All or the MPC Live's ASIO driver when I tried.

Try it out.

I have heard, you are not alone there. Can‘t provide any helpful links, but Cakewalk isn‘t known for good compatibility with plugins - sorry. :Sigh:

You could still run it standalone and in sync with the DAW, but that would require you to set up MC or MTC to have them run in sync, and you‘d have to track it differently.
