Can't install MPC Software - Error deleting libusb-1.0.dll

Hello all!

I get the below error since trying to install MPC software version 2.13. I'm now trying with version 2.14 and same thing happens. I've tried to install with admin rights, but same error pops up.

"C:\Program Files\Akai Pro\MPC\libusb-1.0.dll

An error occurred while trying to replace the existing file:
DeleteFile failed; code 5
Access is denied"

Any ideas? Should I uninstall entire MPC Software first, and do a fresh install? I Don't want to risk losing some settings or what not. Any help much appreciated!

I have found the issue is that Reaper was still using the file(s) in question.

"the action can't be completed because the file is open in reaper.exe"

This message popped up after reboot and with no sign of reaper in task manager

worked around it by changing the names of the files used to .old and then continued with reinstall of MPC software v2.14
