Beat sounds different on recording playback

I’m having an issue . When I play any instrument or drum kid on Key 37, I am playing in tempo. When I record that sound and then play it back, the recording sounds extremely different in terms of tempo and sound when I play it back. Has anyone experienced this or have any recommendations?
