1.5 Bug Reports

Enjoying the new update and new features. The only thing I did notice was opening a MPC5000 Project file. I got a lot of: Caution! Rename/Replace windows over 40-60 of them. I believe this was because the Ren was creating folders and/or sorting them for the new Program filing for the samples. I didn't have to select Rename/Replace for any of the samples because the REN resolved it, but it did take 3-4 minute to load the file.

Vintage mode doesnt show up on hardware screen when i start the software.It comes back when i enter a diff mode than go back to main.Weird and a lil annoying! anyways,specs in my signature.

In the upgrade notes, it says the software can run by itself.
I don't have my MPC REN as I took it home and now at the studio and was about to update the software to see if this is true.
Also, I noticed when updating the software at home, none of the plugins were there from Akai like Wub etc...
Is there a reason why?

There are other things that could be better but, I feel it's a waist of time stating.

When loading up a very large amount of sounds the MPC Ren software crashes.

This occurred when I was loading up a drum sample bank of sounds which was probably around 2-300 in total and I've been able to recreate it 3 times.

Using a win 7 ultimate, i7, 16gb ram, 2tb hard drive pc and MPC 1.5 software, 64 bit

Saving while a plugin GUI is open causes the plugin GUI to close!

Aww man...What happened?

It worked fine in 1.4 now every time try to close it, it locks up. (32 or 64 bit)

Windows 8 64bit pc

ctrl-alt-delete...........



Any suggestions?

**When this happened before it was remedied by running the 64bit version instead of the 32 bit. Now...no such luck. Both versions stop responding on exit.

I've tried both version plugs (32-64), running in every compatibility mode(xp, vista, 7) with and without the unit plugged in..it still ends up not responding..

Its very disheartening when you spend a lot of money on something and it doesn't work correctly.

Suggestions?

The problem is that you have numerous MPC 5000 programs (.50s) and MPC Ren programs (.xpm) with the same program names.

The MPC Software sees Program 001.50s and Program 001.xpm as the same file. So the MPC Software is asking you to rename program files. Get rid of the duplicates and your project should load as expected.

That's weird. The file extensions should differentiate the two identically named files the same as it does in MAC Finder or Windows Explorer. Shouldn't have to change the names!

When loading an MPC 5000 program, it is converted from a .50s program into an MPC Software xpm program. This is why you will have to rename it if a program with the same name already exists.

I believe the same is true for SND files from memory. If you have '808.wav' in memory and then try to load '808.snd', you will have to rename one of the files.

Oh, ok! That makes sense then!

Massive consistently crashes the program around autosave time.

It's pretty much the only vst I use nowadays.

Here and there, Almost in plugin Mode. Try to switch off then On again see if the glitch go away, this work for me when Happening. I know, Sad solution, I hope the switch has a good stamina (Oo)

Yep. I get that almost every time I'm doing some work in sample edit mode.

This and a couple other things are ruining 1.5 for me. Wierd things happening all over the software. smh, might go back to 1.4 cus this 1.5 is a little ridiculous trying to use.
