UPDATE

The Error message about being unable to create the back of the1.6 Project when importing is happening because my Projects are stored on external drives.

If I copy a 1.6 Project to the default Windows location it will import it without the backup error message.

In both cases the Project is still imported into 1.7 the difference is loading from one of the external drives is unable to create the backup copy.

Seems that the software is looking for the Project to have a standard path that can't be found since they are stored externally.

Still a bug.

The plug in scanner is broken in Windows, it gives unpredictable results when you run it.
I tons of LEGIT plugs and they were fine in 1.7 until I ran the scanner.
The scanner crashed a major portion of them, which of course made them inaccessible.
They still worked in LIVE or Maschine as well as the Avid formats but not in the MPC software.

After lots of troubleshooting the only way I could get it back to a functioning state was to revert back to 1.6 rescan the plugs then update to 1.7 again, but not scan them in 1.7.

Sample Edit

In sample edit it seems like the Q-Link End x1 (Q2) seems to stop working after I turn it a few times.

I still haven't installed 1.7 at home, just tried it in the store I work at (Studio) and CPU level spikes and 1.6 projects are choppy sounding.

I kinda do not dare to install 1.7 as I have about 30 projects that I do not want to lose. Anybody got an idea when 1.7.1 will be out?

Is anyone else having problems with plugin gui's ?

damn..guess im lucky i didnt really bother scanning my plugins..so theyve been worng well for me..but shit..ill be careful not to scan for anything new.

if this is true for all or a lot of windows users hope those fegits fix this shit right quick

Ok, installed 1.7 yesterday, so far no major stress, 1.6 projects can load without problems. But each time I load up an old project and hit play in song mode, I experience some kind of stutter, usually within the first 20 seconds of a song. And it usually stops stuttering after one or two seconds. When playing the song agai, everything seems to be ok.

THx for the Infos, I tried but same bug. Are you using a Mac?. I got the prob with Win7 x64 Ultimate and mpc x64 1.7. When I load my MPC2000XL projects the program isn't set for the tracks. I have to fix it manually then it works fine but it's annoying to fix it everytime..... in 1.6 everything was fine with the mp2kxl projects

When i try to export my files, i have to choose explode.. BUT then the files are suddenly missing the last bar??? Im really confused as to what is going on.

If i export a 4 bar sequence i end up with 1 blank bar, then the first 3 bars of my sequence WTF???

Also why cant i apply effects on individual tracks in the mixer? I can only apply effects on the program, not the tracks within wtf??? Also when loading a plugin it wont play/no sound/signal when i press a pad, or a key on my keyboard.

Another issue i had is when editing regions i used the mouse to move the region marker slightley and then i pressed the pad and suddenly another region marker had appeared out of nowhere making 4 regions into 5. This has happened to me all the time today.

Another thing is i cannot update the firmware, been trying on 3 different computers since the new firmware patch came out to no avail. If they dont fix this shit im getting a machine instead.

i dont understand what the diference between applying an effect to the program instead of the track is.

but i should be able to **** apply effects in sample edit mode before i even make a **** program! and effects to single pads..dont know if you can do that..since i havent had much need for that yet..so maybe you can add crazy shit to pads hahah..

o also...ive read from other ppl that in 1.7 if you scan for plugins they dont work anymore. so dont know if thats just for that person or for anyone using 1.7. i havent scanned for plugins and now i dont want too ;/.
