after restart of the program & rebooting of the hardware: only folder 5 is highlighted, and cannot change to any other folders by the (SHIFT + FOLDER #) command:


On a sidenote, if the folder shortcuts are assignable, a 'deselect' click should be available. But either way, I can't figure out any way to deselect the folder nor goto a different folder I assigned as a shortcut.

If the Qlinks are all highlighted, that could mean they are all set to the same location.

yep... you're right! it helped! thanks!

It is encouraged to set Folder 1 - 5 to different file locations. I selected all 5 folders to be linked to the exact same file location & all the folders were kept highlighted. This was just confusing. Perhaps not a bug.

1. While the sequencer is playing, hold down the [ERASE] button and one or more keys on your keyboard. Does the notes erase?

2. Stop the sequencer. Press the [Erase] button. Press keys on your keyboard. Does the note numbers of the keys display on the MPC Ren/Studio LCD?

HI Jah, holding down the erase button while the sequencer will delete the notes, BUT when i press Stop press Erase button then press keys on my keyboard the NOte numbers of the keys do not display on the mpc Ren...

I don't believe that one ever worked/implemented.

OK will it ever be implemented? becouse the mpc 2500 has this feature.

I have a problem using "start", "end" and "play start" buttons..
When i try to jump in seq with "start" & "end" (when playing) the MPC software overloads and freezes for about 15 sec or for good. Then i have to restart the program.

Also pushing repeately "play start" same thing.

I have experienced this using only audio samples.
No plugins at all..i did not have this problem with 1.3.1

Im thinking to format and re install everything..

I have amd athlon 6400+ x2 with 2gb of ram..it is almost minimun req but my Win7 is properly configured and fully optimized to music production..running much more complex and heavier programs with my audio pc without problems..'Im going to send all crash logs to the dev team..making .txt files that includes these crash logs..

^^The bug fron yesterday i described above is gone!!^^

A small thing but really annoying as you need it all the time:

The "1" and "2" shortcuts to toggle "draw" and "select" mode still doesn't work on my azerty keyboard. (Even if I switch to the US keyboard layout, it doesn't work, btw.)

It has been reported before but not fixed. If someone could pass it up so it gets eventually fixed, it would be nice.

This isn't a bug. This is how the software is designed but I agree with you. I would like my slices to be triggered as one-shot or at least have the option of choosing how the slices are triggered (one-shot vs note on).

The bug of selecting notes by hitting pads, then trying to delete them and that not working is still there. Hitting a pad does select notes, but then hitting backspace does nothing.

And yeah, using keys 1 and 2 to change the cursor doesn't work if your focus isn't on the midi grid (= if you haven't just been doing something in the grid).

Pressing GO TO + >> in order to jump to the end of the sequence doesn't work!
It does nothing. It did work before 1.4 and I used it a lot.

Also, I dunno if this is a bug or a feature, but if you have the view zoomed in (that is, when working with midi notes) and you move the header out of the range you're viewing, the view doesn't follow the header.
I'd like to see where I'm going, to be honest.

Drawing and then duplicating midi notes on a track that has <none> as its program makes the Ren crash (or, actually, I'm working with Studio now; can't test this on the Ren as Im on holiday, not home).

Done this three times in a row now.
