I dont know if this has been mentioned before. Would be surprised if its not. Also dont know if this behaviour is universal across OSX and Windows systems.

Remember Plugin Position. When re-opening a plugin it should remember where you placed it on the screen rather than always reverting to the top left of the screen.

Plugins Stay On Top.
Stands to reason were going to change parameters on the screen whilst a plugins GUI is loaded. But touch the screen anywhere and the plugin goes behind the MPC software.

Im testing my Ren on an Imac - OSX 10.6.8. Would be interested to know if its the same behaviour universally. Their both very annoying workflow killers, but especially the plugin vanishing.

PROG EDIT - in the hardware, to be able to use the cursor to actually navigate the 'Samples' screen and use the data wheel to assign samples - i.e. cursor navigate to the 'Sample 1' cell and turn the data wheel to scroll through the samples.

I simply hate using the Q Links for this, they are too sensitive, it's like trying to crack a safe (or getting my shower temperature control 'just right').

Even though I know the cursors do nothing in this screen, I still can't stop myself trying to use them regardless.

Same goes for many other parameters in PROG EDIT - the Q links are fine for some (e.g. velocity or tuning changes) but for others (e.g. setting ranges) they are complete unsuitable IMO, it's too hard to get the exact value you want.

I also want the 'Samples' screen (and all the others) to show this data in the cells themselves, not on the top right of the screen only. I'm sure there's a reason why this wasn't done, but on screen cursor navigation is a classic legacy feature and just seems to come naturally to a legacy MPC user - the Q link method seems pretty clunky to me. Seriously, can't we have both (i.e. Q link control and cursor/data wheel)?

Indeed. And speaking of ADSR, a possibility to switch to the legacy AD.

I agree 100%. Not only do I not like using the Qlinks for every function, it was really confusing when I first started using the Ren. There is no clear indication on the LCD regarding whther Qlinks, data wheel or both can control params.

So what happens is you will enter certain menus thinking you can use the Qlinks to modify params (as some are arrange 4x4) only to find the Qlinks are nonoperational. Then in other menus, you will try to use the cursor keys to navigate the LCD and use the data wheel to change the values only to find they don't work.

31. When hitting Rec and Play Start, having the option to not have the 2 bar click.

It's all good.... Thanx

Marc

The can browser presets of plugins from the hardware. It just some plugins don't easily permit this.

Count in can be enabled or disabled since 1.0.

I want this functions:

1. I wanna make my own Presets for the effects and plug ins.
2. I Still got an BPM missmatch all .APS and .ALL files are starting at 120 BPM.
3. A Master Volume for the Export for now everytime i export something its allways
too loud. (If I Change the track mixer vollume for every track to 30 or lower
its still clipping)

Whent the next update came out? im looking forward to get it because for now i cant use the Ren complette and im very frustrated.

Why i didn't become an answer?

I absolutely agree as well.

Not being able to see samples per layer quickly and easily on the hardware screen is another reason I'm forced to use the software all the time... Very frustrating.

Use the touch sensitivity of the top of the Q-links

Tapping the top of any of the 16 Q-Links could:

Switch banks
Switch tracks
Trigger sequence changes
Toggle functions on/off
Trigger FX on and off
Mute Tracks

all by tapping the top of the qlinks, whats the technology there for if it isnt being used to full potential?

-We need zooming on hardware lcd in sample edit

-We need to be able to choose edit zones for the pads(all, current, multi)from the hardware

-Put db numbers on all volume meters, Master, Mixer, etc, so I can visually see exactly how loud my signals are

-Arpeggiator Mode<----NEED THIS, would be SWEET and I know Akai can do it

-Give us a click/hiss/noise reduction in Sample Edit, sometimes when u sample the vinyl is a **** scratchy ya know?

Make the LCD hardware, and the graphic layout way more sweet looking, add meters, add more info on the main screen, add a grid on the lcd. Step Edit should have a step edit graphic on the lcd.

Redo the WHOLE sequence grid on the software

it looks bad and when you click on it with the mouse it feel awkward, notes go flying everywhere, its hard to latch notes, the slightest movement up or down will send you flying through octaves/padbanks

Even though the pads on the hardware only turn yellow, orange, green, red

On the software let us change the colors of pads and programs to colors like purple, blue, black, white, pink, etc... hardware pad colors will stay the same.
