Did anyone find a way to save qlink (pad scene/padparameter) assignments together with a program?
Like to have my qlink setup with changing the pitch of a clip program and save that for later use.

That is one thing I was hoping for. What about assigning midi channel for Kontakt and using Stutter Edit?

I have a question about the sequencer in the mpc 2.0 software. I have a mpc sudio and i use it as an vst in ableton live and i’m very disappointed that i’m not able to use the daw sequencer. My biggest problem with the mpc sequencer is that even if i set the grid to off, there is still a kind of grid. When i trigger my drums directly per fingers the grid is off but if i want to readjust some notes to perfection via the computer mouse, i can’t move them exactly everywhere i want. So everytime i’m using a sample with already drums in it and i have to layer them precisily, i’m ****.
Is this problem fixed in mpc 2.0 software? And if not, is it possible to use the mpc live as an vst in ableton and at the same time send midi from the daw to the mpc live, so that i can use my daw to programm the mpc live?

Ableton and MPC together man you know you in trouble... (Snoop Voice).. Ok so I use sort of same,, but all I do is drop clips.. I haven't got my MPC live yet I think its in mail but as soon as I get it I'll look for most effective way to join these 2 together.

In SAMPLER mode, under 'input source' I'm being offered 32 inputs to choose from (16 stereo pairs, 32 mono). I'm on the Touch which only has two inputs, so only 1/2 is actually picking up incoming audio (as expected). Where are these other 30 inputs coming from?
(BTW, on the Live you should only be offered 4 inputs, as confirmed in the manual - is it showing 32 for you as well?).

Another nice find - although perhaps they fixed this previously and I didn't notice
Undo History:
In previous MPC Software versions, 'undo history' ignored/bypassed certain events - for example if you changed the start point on a sample, pressing UNDO would not bring it back to the original start point. This is now fixed so if you change the start point multiple times you can 'undo' any number of edit point steps.

Anyone worked out how to instigate a 'Save Sample' from the hardware? I can save a project via the disk icon in MENU or via the MAIN > PROJECT icon, but not an individual file. If I right click the sample in the computer GUI 'project' panel and select 'Save' I can complete the process in the touchscreen, but I cant see any way of starting the save sample process in the hardware.
EDIT: If a sample is assigned to a pad in a program, you can go to MAIN > PROGRAM > pencil icon > SAVE CURRENT SAMPLE. But this doesn't fly if the sample isn't assigned to a pad anywhere.
Would have thought either an option in SAMPLE EDIT or something in the MAIN > PROJECT screen would make sense. So perhaps in the PROJECT screen touch a sample from the list and a 'save sample' option appears? Currently if I do that and press 'save' it just saves the entire project.

Just in case you wonder where they all went, there is now an option in the file browser to filter out 'MPC' content folders, which basically hides stuff like [ProjectData] folders. In the touchscreen, toggle the 'MPC' folder icon to hide/show them. In the computer GUI, the MPC filter icon is down the bottom right of the browser, to the right of the audition volume.

Feel like I'm talking to myself, but anyway...
Just noticed that there's been a tweak of the threshold chopping algorithm it's much more accurate with the default threshold settings. The example break from my book used to need some slices adding manually, but no more, it's finding all slices first time now.
However it's still not always calculating the end point properly, so some slices still exhibit a nasty click at the end where a tiny amount of the next slice's initial peak can be heard. I did officially report this years ago, I'm surprised more people aren't complaining about this.

Just tested, and I can drop MPC 60 and 4000 programs into 2.0, and that seems to work pretty ok.
Didn't do any type of extensive tests, and I noticed on MPC 60 programs faders were down, but in general pretty ok, sounds do load, they're on right pads etc.
I don't even know if this is a new feature, but still…pretty nice.

Seems when you run a signal quite loud into the Akai transient shaper, it really distorts the h*ll out of it.
This leads to a thought: we need a gain-staging plugin (especially for standalone where 3rd party plugins cannot be used for that).
Another basic bread and butter plugin the MPC needs, imho: quality saturator.
The current distortion plugins are not subtle enough, imho.
I've sent these to the team.

Beta 2.0 suffers same issue as 1.9.6 it doesn't allow samples to be dragged n dropped, from Presonus Studio One browser. This needs a quick fix!! It works in ableton and bitwig, but not studio one! Please Aaki fix this!

user blewis on (Gearslutz) wrote:Well I'm disappointed to report that the warp feature in Drum Programs is more than just a user interface problem. Here is an experiment I wanted the answer to.
I finally got the MPC software up and running and opened the Pop demo. This demo is a great example of a desire to have the warp feature in a Drum Program. The sample on pad 13 is a synth pad that is being modulated by a LFO synced to 8th notes.
The BPM of the project is 148BPM. If you grab that BPM and speed it up or down, that synth line goes completely out of whack.
So, it took me some time to find it (remember this is the first time I've opened up the MPC 2.0 software), but indeed you can enable Warp for this sample in the MPC 2.0 software.
Now, it has been said, and confirmed in context of warping with drum programming, that the standalone software is _the same_ as the MPC 2.0 computer software. And suggested that the only difference is that the MPC 2.0 offers a UI element to enable Warp in Drum Program mode. (via a certain Twitter personality associated with the MPC)
Well, I did that, and on the MPC2.0 software, you can enable warp, increase and decrease the BPM and the synth line will follow alone with 8th notes on time. Pretty brilliant really.
I then saved the project in the MPC 2.0 software. Then went into standalone mode and opened the project.
In standalone mode, the sample does NOT warp. It's not just a missing UI element. To confirm, I then reloaded the same Project in MPC 2.0 software, and the sample was remembered to be Warped and it warped.
So there's more work than just adding a Warp button somewhere in the standalone firmware to enable Warping on Drum Programs. The standalone can't even make use of the saved project data to warp the sample.
Edit: I should add, this is not the end of the world. They give us key groups and synth samples and we have an LFO. If you really wanted this to happen in standalone and track BPM you can 1) roll your own 2) turn it into an audio track. If music must be made, you can still make music.
Took me a while to check this out, but I can second this.
The sample in a drum program whose warp you activate in software does NOT warp in standalone mode after saving.
This has to be a major bug, as standalone capabilities as well as warping (aka realtime timestretching) have been much-marketed features.
Will file an official bug report about this now.
