yes.
groove templates change the microtiming position from every note different in single ticks.
resolution is 960 ticks per quarter note .
a groove temp. file has 16 or 32 notes ------or 1 or 2 bars etc....its only a microtiming file .
create a groovefile from imported midisequence or recorded non-quantized parts .
and put than over your sequence ,or ad this to a complete single track or pad in the mixer view.
its non destructive .
realtime after recording notes : it works in the first repetition.

good is:
a created groove file ad to your track or pad in inspector as a non destructive setting with deph 1-100 knobs
or ad the available groove templates in the pad and track mixer settings .
or global in the time settings for all next recordings .

groove templates give your music your own timing feeling and it is repetitive for other parts or tracks .

is very useful function for each music like dance, house, breakbeat ,drum n bass, hiphop, jazz, prog rock, pop etc...

sequencers ,where have groove template functions are:

software :

ableton live
cubase
logic
studio one
digital performer
reason
sonar
samplitude
traction
motu bpm
geist

hardware:
korg electribe 2
roland mc909 mc808 mc505
yamaha qy700

a side ,who also make this
http://www.numericalsound.com/dna-groov ... -note.html

in internet avaible more easy groove templates from :mpc 60- 2000 or 3000- roland 808 909-korg ddd-or other jitter timing grooveboxes

you can make your own templates too. from your recordings ,midi or audio files.

They should enhance the way Quantize works by allowing it to be fully realtime and non-destructive on a per track basis, so all setting can be instantly recalled by selecting the track. I don't know a better way of doing it.

sorry ,
the name of the post is: feature request -groove templates.
and not :
why i do not need any groove templates. :)

ok.
the thing is

self-playing, is not timing-repititiv from start to end of a track .
clubmusic timing must be repititiv .
i am not make a 1 loop track.
i have different parts in my tracks
i can not play as before, in the same microtiming .sorry.

for me groove quantize is more effective and faster .

mpc ren has sample exact microtiming,
its not the same as hardware like mpc 60 or mpc 3000. they have jitter and seriel midi-microtiming .
but:
sample exakt timing is the base for groovetemplates ,because the stable timing repetition on pattern- repeats

nobody is listen analytic miliseconds
but you can feel the microtiming on yourself, when it rocks.
i like groove templates .
the anti groove templare church do not needed use,
the hopeless groove template pendants pray in their own Palace :)

You haven't really made the case for groove templates though have you? What do they achieve that enhancing the current quantize wouldn't?

Akai could (but probably won't) add another option to the quantize menu that replicates the timing of other hardware (SP12/1200, older MPCs etc), but I still think the evolution of the feature needs to be fully realtime. Offline processes need to be confined to the past, especially performance related ones.

MIDI format

http://www.thecrate.cf/midi-groove-templates/

meanwhile you can still record midi data to your daw if mpc is loaded as an vsti an then reajust/trigger according to that midi files.. well not what you want in the first place.. but "at least"

never

I'm not make a color photo in blackwhite at first
the groove has to be instantly on the first repeat

and yes
this templates are very good in combinations with other track with other depth, templates etc

when in understand you right:
non destructive and realtime. of course
in groove inspector on track , you can change more templates until it fits
the swing button make the depth
another swing button change the the 2,4,6,8 .10.12.14,16 notes position
from template -realtime too

templates from midifile or audiofile generated.
real old mpc timing is not stabil over lengths.
mpc templates can take the first 4 bars or 1....etc

when the mpc ren has groove template ,realtime ,as non destructive function
it would be the first softhard groovebox as track studio, with vst synth polyphony ,samples mixing songmode etc. where has it
big think -
