The MPC Studio is not a Live or X though, its not running anything whatsoever. Its a dummy controller that the software running on your computer controls just like any other MIDI device.
Is there even room inside the case to fit an SOC because it doesn't have anything like that inside it as it is.
The MPC Software DOES run on an SOC, because its literally the same software running in Linux inside the Live and X. Sadly, there is a model one step up Akai could've paid another like $50 per unit for that would've doubled the RAM in the machine. Pretty sure nobody would've minded the extra cost considering theyre already at a grand to start heh.

Whoever does this is starting at ground zero and developing it from the ground up. Theres no borrowing anything from the MPC really, none of it is available to the public. Youre better off trying to get Audacity or something up and running on it.
