Routing audio to physical outputs in mpc software

Hi there,

since this question is mpc-software specific i'm opening a new thread.
Is it possible to route audio to different physical outputs of an external audio interface in the mpc 2.x software?

I'm considering buying an mpc one but want to have the possibilty to mix my tracks in the controller mode on an analog desk. So i want to route different signals (Kick, Snare, etc.) to different outputs on my external interface.

I can't find anything about it in the manual but i can't imagine that there is a "daw" that can't route audio to different outputs that calls himself "HEAVYWEIGHT PRODUCTION HUB".

You can change your audio interface in the settings.

you can route each sound from a pad or a whole program to 32 mono-channels or 16 stereo-channels.
And then of course you would need to route those software channels to specific hardware outputs via the software of your external audio interface.

If you're on Mac... you can do some really crazy stuff with Rogue Amoeba Loopback https://rogueamoeba.com/loopback/

You can create a unified, single interface out of multiple audio interfaces for instance...

For most things, Blackhole (open source) does the trick, too. And aggregating interfaces is also possible via Audio MIDI Setup.
BUT Loopback is a bit more versatile.
