Have MPC essentials not record what you do each loop?

If I'm recording a beat in MPC essentials I'd it to not save everything I do every loop. It creates a lot of mistakes you have to go back and edit and it makes it difficult to experiment.

Ideally, it would work like a DAW where each loop is brand new and it only permanently saves something if you're happy with that loop after the fact and hit a button. In my DAW it saves each loop to a playlist and you can go back and pick the one you like.

I'm not expecting MPC essentials to have that capacity but it would be nice to not have to get everything perfect on each overdub and to have room to experiment. Is there a way for you to record a loop as many times as you want without saving, and then when you are happy with how a loop went you can hit a save button?

So you want to loop record rather than overdub. Don't think it's possible
While overdubbing hit undo and will remove all notes since record was pressed. Repeat until your happy

I use this method
Rec my kick and snare. Double tap overdub if I'm happy with it
Then lay down my hats. Hit undo to clear them if I balls up. When I'm happy I turn off overdub. Have a play for ideas. Get a groove and hit overdub to lay it down
Again if I'm not happy hitting undo while still recording deletes the latest dub without removing kicks and hats
