Hi there, I have purchased MPC software with a view to creating live sets which can later be transferred to a hardware MPC (Which I have not yet purchased), and then used as a sound module sequenced with external controllers and sequencers as well as the internal stuff.
The first hurdle I have come up against is the lack of multi timbral midi. But I figure I can get around this by creating elaborate Drum programs that have different voices mapped to different parts of the keyboard.
The daunting part is mapping chromatic multisamples onto the drum program pads. Does anyone have any workflow tips for this? A way to drag a section of a Keygroup into a Drum program? Or a way to freeze "16 levels"? Or is it going to be a case of grinding it out pad by pad?
