Unable to Record/Overdub - Switches to Play Mode

Hey,

I don't know what the problem is but whenever I got to either record or use over dub on my sequence, it switch to playing and I cannot record anything!

The midi seems basically fine. I can hear all the sound on my pads. I'm using an MPK225.

The PLAY and RECORD buttons flash. Then after the count in BOOM it switches to PLAY. I have to manually punch everything in. This just ruined my whole day and it's probably one thing I need to swtich....

If you know what could cause this please let me know. I don't want to start a new project after staying up all night fixing the drums.

MIDI SYNC

In Preferences under Sync there is a section for MMC receive and send.

I unticked Receive and things work now.

Can you tell me why??? Is there somewhere I could read about all the MIDI settings to understand it fully? It would be nice to control functions on the software with my controller, but I am gonna leave alone for now since I wasted my whole day.
