MPC Beats not recognizing all my Vst's.

Hey y'all.

I have about 26 gigs of free plugins, some are 64 and some are 32 bridged with JBridge. MPC Beats is only recognizing and showing in the list about 50 or less Vst's, both 64 and 32 abridged, Fx's and Instruments. Also I have em organized in folders, example 1- compressors 2- Arp Synths 3 - Reverbs and so on and it didn't maintain that hierarchy, all plugins just appear in a list one after the other and it's a mess and really difficult to find the plugins I want.

Anyone having this same problem or a fix for it? thanks.

It's up to you to identify the pattern of which VSTs it "ignores", because we can't know what you have in there. It does not for example support VST3, AFAIK.

Regarding folder structure, I'm not aware of *any* DAW that takes it into consideration - they all just display the VSTs as a continuous list and let you arrange them by type, developer, alphabetically, etc. But don't take folders into account.

It's 64 and bridged 32, like I said, mostly if not all 2.4. There's no apparent pattern of which it recognizes and which not. Ableton recognizes all of them.

Ableton takes folders into consideration, like I said.

When you say "we" in "we can't know what you have in there" you mean the peeps at mpc-forums or at Akai?

Like I said before, I have about 26 gigs of Vst's, all of which are recognized by Ableton, with the specs I posted, and maybe 45 or so are recognized by Mpc Beats. 64 and 32 bridged. How many Vst's are in 26 gigs? 300? 500? 800? Idk, haven't counted them. I mean I've been doing this music thing for over 17 years.

MPC Software seems to ignore VSTs randomly, some work, others don't , often I find the AU version works fine. Putting them into folders might be the issue, but you can experiment to see if that's the case.

500-800 VSTs? Seriously? How many VSTs do you actually need? I'd focus on the ones you actually use and maybe find out if anyone else is having problems with those and if they found a solution. Post up some specific examples of VSTs that don't work (Waves seem to be problematic with many people).

I'm always downloading free Vst's. It's a thing where sometimes I find gems, and I enjoy it. TBH I use all of them. I cycle thru em, some months I use 20-30 then next month others and so on. I have a few to go Vst's when I can't find the sound I'm looking for. But I'm always loading random Vst's. I spend a lot of time making music. I don't know how many I have but there's a Vst that scans and lists them all and exports them to .txt if I remember well. If it's not a function in a known DAW. I might look for that one and run it.

Absolutely. I'm going to try to scan em without the folders. Haven't had the time to look into the Vst MPC Beats window and see if I can create folders after they're scanned. I'm just gonna scan a few of them.

ATM I don't remember which known free VST's didn't run but next week when I'll do the test I'll post it so if folks can take advantage of it and maybe apply a fix, all for the better. I mean, all these Vst's run in all DAW's, I don't see why they shouldn't run on MPC Beats.

open cmd
then change the directory to your vst folder (lets say your vst folder is D:vstplugins )
type

D:

then

cd vstplugins

then

dir *.dll /s /b /on >vstplugins.txt

this will create a txt file in the vstplugin folder which lists all vst files (usually .dll)

but IMO tying that one line above is much faster than downloading, installing, open program and figure what buttons to click to get the result you want.

BTW My reaper DAW (v5_981 or so) don't want to open MPC Beat and crashes.

lol yes I'm using Windows. Thanks this is very useful. Doing it Monday.

There is a freeware called OwlPlug which can scan your plugins and list them in standalone mode.

I posted a recent video on my youtube channel on Kushview element. I am pretty sure you will be able to load the 32 bits in there. I use it to load my vst3 in the mpc

Hey this looks great, thanks so much for posting this. I haven't had time to get around the issue of the plugins and MPC Beats, too busy making music. This is great. I'll watch the video. Maybe it can help me load the Vst3's in Ableton 8 that I'm learning to code.
