Routing audio from computer to MPC Audio tracks?

I have been struggling to use the Sampler and Looper function in MPC 2.9 software.

Currently I need to switch the Audio Device in the MPC preferences every time I would like to sample from the internet, spotify, media player etc. When sampling like this, I am not able to play the media through my studio monitors because the sound is being directed to my computer's tiny, tinny speaker. This requires me to plug headphones directly into my desktop in order to monitor my sampling. This works, but it breaks up the workflow, and I can't believe that it is the only way route the sound into my MPC software.

I downloaded Voicemeeter and VB-Cable, but I cannot seem to get either one to work. Which is frustrating.

Hopefully someone can help me with either the MPC, or the voicemeeter.
I just can't imagine why the MPC would not be able to receive audio that originates from another app.

NVM-Got it figured out. 2 things, for anyone that found this post due to a related issue.

First, I have a 1st Generation Scarlett interface that requires me to loop an SPDIF cable from the in to the out on the back of my interface in order to route the sound through to the MPC. Apparently the 2nd generation Scarletts are the same way, but the 3rd Generation have a 'Loopback" preset which achieves the same result.

Second. Real dumb.
I just needed to change the Sampler/Looper input to Stereo 9,10.
Consequently I can also record directly onto any audio track by selecting the same input. dummmmmb-da-dumb-dumb

But how do you arm input 9,10 to an alternative input device since the preferences only allow to select 1 input device? Normally I would manually switch to my system audio to record anything I'm playing in another window, then change the preferences back. But you're saying there's a way to have 2 devices set up at once? Screenshots anyone?
