I have the same issue as described in this post:

I bought an Akai MPK mini play but there's no factory preset for this keyboard and the other presets don't map sounds to the pads or keys correctly. This seems to be an issue that is not specific for the mini play.
What can I do now? The linked topic does not provide a solution for this error. I just want to be able to use the product as it is intended. Is there a way to troubleshoot this? Can i reassign the sounds to the pads manually or does this mean the software is unusuable in its current state?
