MPC Software 2.9 MIDI I/O Port 2 Missing

I've discovered a bug in MPC software 2.9 whereas MIDI INPUT PORT 2 and MIDI OUTPUT PORT 2 are missing in the EDIT>PREFERENCES>MIDI/SYNC Tab. I've confirmed this on two separate computers by reverting back to MPC 2.8 Software on both systems and also in the latest MPC Beats Software. In each instance these ports are showing up and are usable but NOT showing up in MPC 2.9 Software. This was reported to AKAI's Technical Support but it was brushed off as a hardware issue. Can anyone else confirm this issue?

Yeah, I can confirm this happened to me when I updated to 2.9 on Mac with my MPC Ren.

At least they bothered to acknowledge you LOL, I sent a few different messages to them about this through different platforms and didn't hear anything back. I've rolled back to v2.8 and I don't really see much happening until suddenly the ports just work in a future update - I had an issue with a previous version that refused to see the midi ports on a M-Audio usb midi interface after and update, that every other program could quite clearly see and use, and I was fobbed off about it.

My whole workflow is external MIDI synths and I really don't know if I can be bothered to stick with Akai. I'll prob look at putting the Ren up for sale in the next few weeks and moving on. It's a shame as I've stuck with this setup since pre V2. Maybe a change is needed for me. Maybe to a company that can support and listen to it's users lol

Man I feel you!!! If they don't fix this I'm going to take a serious look at Maschine by Native Instruments. I've heard nothing but great things about their software/hardware integration. I've been using the MPC Ren since 2015 ("upgraded" from the MPC2000XL) and with each update it seems something get broken or not compatible with other VST Instruments. This is not a way to keep loyal users coming back.

Just discovered this tonight that the Midi Output is not complete, only 8 of them. Does anyone have version 2.8 Software Install? in my Akai there is only 2.6 and 2.9 available for download. Look like they removed 2.8. Thank You.
