ASIO4ALLv2 -- "Error when trying to open audio device"

This has worked in the past.

In the MPC software, in preferences, when I select Audio Device Type ASIO, the in Device I select ASIO4ALL v2

I get "Error when trying to open audio device." I have no other audio programs open. And as I said this has worked in the past. It is frustrating because all the other drivers have horrible latency.

Any ideas?

if you are on a windows OS, you might want to check ASIO settings by opening it from your programs list...WDM device list, latency compensation, etc. are there- perhaps another program knocked those settings.

I also have this problem in MPC Beats. I use ASIO for Virtual DJ, and it works fine with that.

I also was getting this error even though it worked fine in Virtual DJ. I just uninstalled it and reinstalled as administrator and now it works OK in MPC Beats also.
