I saw another thread on this that was ironically closed this morning just before I had the same issue happen to me. I would launch the MPC software and it would immediately crash and generate a crash report.
I believe another user, ahueca, was having the same issue. Hopefully what I found can help them and others too.
In my case I was able to solve it by noticing that the macOS crash report pointed to a thread error from my Raycon earbuds. I switched my audio device on my Mac to the internal speakers. I was then able to load the MPC software without it crashing.
