Nube here. Just made the transition over to MPC from non Akai hardware.

How do I take a two bar drum pattern and loop it over, say, 16 bars without having to drum the 16 bars in real time?

Basically, I want to create a 16 bar melody, then add a two bar drum loop to it.

I can't seem to figure this out. Is this even possible. I am not sure what the work flow is here.

Much appreciate for any insight anyone can give.

- Set the Sequence length to 16 bars
- Add separate Tracks for your drums and your melody

Now you can either
- make the drum track Length 2 bars (by default it is the same length as the Sequence), or
- select and copy/paste/duplicate your 2-bar drum pattern

To see the Track Length parameter, you have to open the menu and select "All" to see all parameters for the track.

I found this piece of information from the Manual, which can be found in Help > MPC Beats Help > MPC Beats Software Manual.
