How to Midi Tracks out from the MPC software to ableton

Hi.

This might be a very noobish question.
My brother sold me his old macbook and I installed Ableton on it.

I already figured out how to send out audio from the mpc software to different tracks in ableton for mixing but how can I get the midi data from my mpc tracks (for example my drum tracks, synths..) into ableton so that I can arrange and play everything in ableton?
Do I have to record the midi out of the software into ableton?
