MPC against Audacity: WAV compatibility?

Hi,

does anybody else face problems with importing Audacity WAV Export files to MPC?

Actually creating a program is straight forward. Drag & Drop WAV files to the MPC software.

But for unknown reasons, it does not work with WAV files exported by Audacity. Those work fine in any other application (Finder, Musicplayer, Logic). But they are strictly ignored by MPC software.

Some more details:
MPC Auto Sampler works with a fixed length. Drum samples have a different length (e.g. closed HiHat versus open HiHat).
The objective is to shorten the samples to its audio information by deleting the silence. This works pretty well with the Audacity macro function.
But the resulting files cannot be put to the MPC software, although they have the same sampling rate and bit depth.

Any idea, what could cause this problem?

MPC is notorious for not liking WAV files that contain non-standard headers, Bandcamp WAV files will not import, some Cubase stuff won't either. I suspect Audacity is also adding something non-standard, some proprietary info that it uses for internal referencing.

Is there an option in Audacity to strip out non standard info? If so, can you batch it? Or try re-saving in software that does support the WAV files.

Akai are aware of the Bsandcamp issue, not sure if they ever fixed it. If you can link to a couple of example files I will download and forward to Akai.

I routinely pre-chop my samples in Audacity (on Linux) and the MPC One always took them with no complain.

Thank you, @MPC-Tutor, the hint on the META information was very useful. Although I didn't manage to apply this in a macro, I found a workaround by loading all processed files into a project and export the tracks without META information. That are a few steps more, but it works.

@Jean-Marc Liotier: if you are experienced in using Audacity, do you know how to modify the command "Export As WAV" for macro operation? I can only choose it, but there are no options to tell it how.
