Time Correct (quantize) on separate tracks within project.

I would guess this has been asked a million times but here we are

So I have a couple of tracks within a project that I want to quatize (time correct) at different rates.
So the overall project tc is set at 16 but there's a couple of parts where I would like to input more complexed patterns which will require 32 or even 32t.

I cannot for the life of me work out how to do this but surely by christ this function is available on a powerful DAW like this.??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to record a specific track at 1/32 then set timing correct to 1/32 while you record that track.

So if I have 8 tracks recorded in midi mode and they have been recorded at 16, I can go back to tc, set it to 32 and then recorded the next midi part and that will individually record that one part in 32?
Afterwards though, if i then set the tc back to 16 to carry on recording other tracks, will it not change the 32 track to 16 aswell?

Also, is there no way to make that adjust post recording?

Just seems like a very basic function that most hardware sequencers do very easily.

Yes, select a track, open the timing correct screen, change the settings and hit 'apply'. Otherwise, your track will be unaffected by any timing correct settings you record with elsewhere.

So essentially the tc setting is only relevant in terms of recording?
I.e if it says tc 16 it doesn't refer to a timing correction for everything, it's purely just telling you that the next thing you record will be altered to tc 16?

Am I better off recording all tracks with tc turned off and then go into grid view afterwards to apply tc.
At least that way if it isn't quite what I want I can undo and reapply tc in a different timing?

No right or wrong way, just go for whichever way you prefer.
