I am posting this to find out if anyone has a pad color scheme on the MPC (ex. Kick is Red, Snare is Yellow). I was following Marco Polo’s scheme, and MPC Expansions scheme. I want to be able to load my kits and have all my kits “COLOR CODED” for a left handed person. I even tried to color scheme after Beats by J Black, but when I start another beat, it just goes back to the right handed scheme. I like my hi hats on the left, and my kick and snare on the right hand. If anyone knows how to keep the color scheme of your kits the same for all kits in your library, can you please let me know. Thanks, and happy beat making.

There's no way to just all have existing kits load up with your specific preferred colour scheme - the colours baked into the kit when it was developed are always used (send Akai a feature request for this, e.g. preference setting to always apply your preferred colours upon loading...)

For existing/third party kits you'll have to load a kit, modify the colours via MENU > PAD COLOR and re-save.

For your own kits, create a kit, set the colours and in PAD COLOR screen choose 'MAKE DEFAULT' to have it apply to all kits you make from scratch in the future. Or create a track template and load this up first before you begin populating it.

The only other option is to create a batch script in your favourite scripting language (python, nodejs etc) that can scan through a folder of kits and change all the pad colours.
