How much are we willing to pay AKAI to give us what we really want ?
I’ve partially mapped my akai MPD to my MPC LIVE to get more knobs/sliders.
With 2.10 every 1 is trying to the USB INTERFACE class compliance.
I’m waiting on 2.11 or 3.0 for the bugs/errors to get worked out on this.
I imagine AKAI could make a killing with an OEM PLUG n PLAY USB interface that adds the following. I don’t favor fiddling with drivers/settings all day hoping to find a solution.
-more knobs & quality sliders with some good preset maps.
-4-8 simultaneous audio inputs
They could make it themselves or partner with someone like FOCUSRITE.
While I am usually adverse to expensive add-ons, this device would solve a lot of problems. ROLAND People pay up to $400 for the MV8OP1 and all it did was add more audio outs & a digital interface.

I dig GROOVEBOXES & essential hardware.
