MPCX TOUCH SCREEN RESPONSIVE LIKE SLATE MT?

Greetings everyone, I just saw the Slate Raven screen. OMG! I just feel in love with a freakin screen lol I have been seeing these types of screens with JunkieXL, Hanns Zimmer, and Slate got this thing responsive. This is the future, and I would love to be part of this, and once I get my Live I want to build a section in my house so I can set up like this. I will be mostly producing music and have a mic so if a singer wants to record at my stu he/she could. This would make me set, especially running Studio One 3, I was going to get the 8 port but after seeing this I am not I am going to get this, and I was looking for a bigger screen anyway.

My thing is if Akai would of put a DVI or HDMI port on the back of the X with touch screen capabilities, this would of been Great, they would of sold a lot of units. it would of made more sense to me to get the X, and I am sure they could of gotten with Slate to help with his screen. Slate is definitely on top of his game and those freakin plugins rock.

Akai has moved a lil bit to the future, they will make us spend that dough for that 10.1 screen they have, which is responsive, seem like it's like the Slate. The future is looking really great and more fun. I would be able to mix and automate with the touch of a finger. smh. What's your thoughts?

yeah digital keyboards and FM synthesis was all the rage in the day with people at the time frowning on little old analog keyboards, now look at today...

i have the LIVE and the screen is instantaneous! no lag and quite responsive. i still have the protective cover on the screen and it recognizes my inputs with no worry.

i don't think it would make sense for akai to spend all of this money on their touch screen system only to have people hook up their old 2012 dell monitor to it and use that instead, plus there would also need to be dedicated hardware just for the output and perhaps a more beefier CPU which may have driven up the cost of these machines to only the upper middle class of beat makers...

It would have. Cost that much to put a hdmi or dvi port on the back. The MV8800 has it and the MPC 3000 has it. It would of given the user another option.

Have designed my own ipad control surfaces for years, I like this app alot.

You can even download other people's files and use their control surfaces.
