Importing a wav file out of sync with tempo with MPC live

It's probably something very simple but can't find the answer.
So I export a file from Ableton at 44.1 and 16 and when I import that wav file to an audio track with the tempo correct on the MPC live it plays a little behind the click track very reminiscent of when I import a file at a different sample rate than the project is at.. how do I see the sample rate the MPC is set at? Could it be anything else?

Actually I just checked the export settings of the MPC and it's set at 44.1 and 24, so does that mean that the MPC is set at that when I import files to an audio track??

Why do you have a click track on with a track you already know the tempo to? Its not the sample rate. Are you in controller mode or standalone mode?

You may wanna cbheck and see if what you brought in is hitting on the one. Being a tad bit off makes a difference

Thanks, yeah I am definitely starting the file on 1.

I know the tempo because I created the file in Ableton, I just recorded synths like my Prophet and want to import it as a backing track into the mpc, I exported it at 44.1 and 24. The Tempo of the file is definitely correct, I set my project at the same tempo, imported the wav file as a standalone into the MPC and see that the files starts at 0 on the MPC Live but looks somehow stretched out as the first note starts on zero but where the next synth stab in the wav file is supposed to start at the beginning of the next bar, it instead starts a bit after it...
that's why I think it has something to do with sample rate, it's very much like that.

Well are you using the MPC in standalone mode or controller mode?

Either change the settings in the MPC to what you imported in or change in Ableton to 44./16 bit and see what happens. Or it might be Ableton's sequencer is different in tempo some weird way.

I did the opposite of what you're doing and everything is on time. Plus l make sure every sound is exported separately.

How/where do I check the settings of my mpc live as a standalone for if it's set to 44.1 or not?

1.Turn on your MPC live.
2. Hit the tab "Empty Project".
3. At the top there's a red strip and in the middle you should see an open folder, tap that.
4. In that window to the bottom right you shuold see "Export" tap on that.
5. The page is "Audio Mixdown". Look to the bottom and you should dee "Bit Depth" and "Sample Rate". Now change them to what you desire.

Now to set it internally.
1. Turn on the MPC Live.
2. Hit "Empty Project".
3. Hit the "Menu" button next to the Shift button.
4. At the top you will see a circle that looks like a sun flower. Tap on that its your 'Preferences".
5. On your extreme left you will see a list. I want you to tap on "Other". A window shall emerge and go to where it says "Sampling Bit Depth." yo can switch it to 24 or 16 bit.

Its standalone•16/[email protected]
And MPC Software 2.0•16/[email protected] to 96kHz

I also think you have to export to the 2.0 software first and then into the Live from there.

Thanks! Yeah so standalone is set to 44.1 and 24 now.... but still the same issue with the file being stretched out could I be warping it without knowing...?

WAIT! hahah.... a bit embarrassed guys, been working so hard I made a stupid mistake with the tempo.... it's actually my fault!!! ALL IS GOOD.

lolbl knew it had to be tempi related. Some times l bring in tracks into Reason and it be off a tad bit. Cause l forgot to set the tempo in Reason first, the same as the track lm bringing in.

I think your confused on what Sampling Bit Depth is :

Sampling Bit Depth: This determines bit depth of the audio recorded from a sample.
