Anyone on 2.0.5 NOT getting the crackling chorus & flanger?

Just to help with this issue. I checked my MPC X in standalone and controller mode and I’m NOT getting any extra unwanted noises.

Me either. Im done checking. Something is wrong though

i tested this a day or so ago (forgot about this thread) and i don't have this concern on either the X or Live. just sounds like too much gain, too high a signal level.

Check you main out levels...I always set programs levels to -12db so i won’t hit red on my mains..Crank your hardware level knob to the max and set your program levels from -9 to -12db (differs from song to song).There’s nothing worse than digital clipping so keeping your main out levels out of the red zone it’s always the best practice...
I’ll post this to the tips thread as a standard reference..

was checking my unit after reading this thread. I layered 3 single cycle waves. Added a filter and delay on the program insert with a send going to a reverb return. I experienced some artifacts. My levels were in the red. I adjusted the sample layer levels and reduced the program level. Artifacts were gone. Im not saying what others are experiencing is definitely digital clipping, but I suspect its the likely culprit.

It's weird that some users are not affected but the issue is very real and has nothing to do with clipping. I get the weird noise artifacts when using the chorus or flanger effects at any volume level.

The issue has been tested and confirmed by Akai employee Nick D. He's also reported it to the developers.

Yea, I noticed it when trying to sample from a synth. If you mess with the parameters you can alter and manipute that "crackle" even with no real audio playing, just the noise floor. I'm no expert but I believe these could be because of the timing issues they fixed. Flanger and chorus are basically a form of delay right?
