MPC X - Sampling from vinyl

I am looking to move from 2000xl to X and can't find a few answers in the videos on YT or in chat rooms. I have little experience with computer use as I only really ever used the MPC and a turntable with other sound discs for some drums sounds. Then I would record into the computer to play guitars etc over my MPC compositions.

In stand alone mode I understand you only have 8 audio tracks.

Does each sound I sample off vinyl become its own audio track?

Can I add multiple samples to one audio track? If so, can I still tweak each sound individually?

When sampling do I choose any input and record guitars/ scratching as a sample or record them as a full audio file?

Basically I need to be able to have a at least 2 guitar tracks, bass guitar track, 2 mic tracks and still be able to mess with a bunch of different samples recorded from vinyl without the need to go into controller mode with a computer.

I hope this makes sense. Any help or direction to help would be greatly appreciated.

You can sample infinite sounds from vinyl or wherever and use them simultaneously. These do not count as audio tracks. Think of audio tracks as whole songs which can be triggered, or just single instrument performances through a whole track, covering an entire sequence.

The 8 audio tracks is like having an 8 track tape recorder, in which you record sounds on, internally or externally from the MPC. You can record as many sounds and much as you like onto a single audio track. Most use audio tracks to layer vocals or acapellas or guitar/keyboards over beats, but you can record whatever you want onto a track, you just won't be able to control each sound as you would with MIDI tracks because like I said before, its like recording to tape.

As said, you can sample whatever you want, when you want and how you want. Whether be real time sampling and recording into its inputs or just dumping a couple of files from your computer, your choice.
