I was wrong with the statements
1: MPC-Live/Touch ----Inferior Converters to MPC-X
2: Octatrack MK2 is better

I have MPC-X, MPC-Touch & (Octatrack Mk2 x 2 for live sets)
Following is true --
1: MPC-Touch has slightly better sounding D/A to MPC-X when sampling via Line in.
2: MPC-X is just as inspiring as Octatrack Mk2
3: MPC-X can replace a DAW. It feels tighter as everything is loaded into memory. 8 stereo audio tracks is enough. Entroducing was made on an 8 track ADAT!!!! --that LP cannot be replicated on a DAW would sound sterile. MPC-Live/X is probably the first modern machine that could do it and get a close result.
