SAMPLING ISSUE ON LIVE

Hey guys,

On the Live, are you able to sample in directly from iTunes or youtube without using Soundflower or some other third party program? I want to sample a snippet, stop recording, sample another snippet, etc. Not just loading an MP3 file to chop up in sample edit mode. Does anyone do this? Can I get confirmation that this process works on the Live?

It’s standalone so yes. You need toy cables from your soundsource to the Live’s inputs.

Unless you mean in controller mode, where it’s just a controller. There is no loopback mode in the internal audio card.

I have an old creative card from 2004 I keep installed just record what’s playing on the pc. I think those focuserite audio interfaces are the only low cost ones that’s do it now.
