Hi,

I'm new to this forum so i apologize in advance for my lack of social behavior..if required.
I'm a MPC user (2000) since it came out.. then moved to studio and now gladly owns an mpc X. I first thought i would only use it in standalone mode because of its accelarated workflow very similar to computer workflow.. i realized that song edition was not that easy and that i needed to use the software to get some sort of a real DAW..which seems to be the case (i used logic a lot but tend to try to only use MPC if possible)..
i have one question , maybe it has been debated already but i didn't find any answer..
When i make a beat in standalone mode (that's what i do.. i dont use soft for beatmakinf purposes)..i save it in the internal memory or a usb hard drive..
But when i turn to controller mode i don't seem to have access neither to the internal drive nor to the external drive pluged to the mpc.. on the other side.. if my file runs from my cpu i can't seem to be able to reach it if i only want to work in standalone...
What do i have to do ? Save only on an external drive and unplug from the x to plug in my cpu everytime i want to go controller mode ?
it's like i'm missing something here..

thank you

peace

install an SSD drive. 64GB is plenty. less than 100 dollars.

also, respectfully ask that you do a search here. lots of info on these items. they have been on the scene for a number of months...
