Mpc 2.0 DAW punch in recording and copy and pasting audio

Hi all ,

I’ve now began my journey with the mpc 2.0 software and am really enjoying it in general. I still like using the mpc x in certain workflow situations but I like the extra power and flexibility that the DAW offers.

A couple of things though that are slowing me down , does anybody know of a way of creating ‘punch in’ positions for recording audio at set points ? Is this even possible on mpc 2.0?

And also can I somehow copy and paste audio from a part of my recording , say cut a section and copy it to another track for double tracking for example for overdubs?

I found that copy and pasting works as usual ctrl c and Ctrl v but the punching in for audio recording I cannot see it would be useful for recording midway through something

You can set your Punch in and Punch-Out points by double-clicking the time signature ( Bar, beats and tick ) area and it'll pull up the punch in and punch out . You can set up to 6 punch in and punch out points. I forgot all about this feature but, now that we have audio tracks back I'll start using it again.

Yes I got this working . I hadn’t noticed the button next to the play stop buttons. Pressed this then saw a red section pop up above the track lower down at the bottom of the screen.
