I have a break sample that I threshold chopped into individual events. But when I tried to start tweaking the drum effects, I realized my options were to mess with the entire program (kicks, snares, and hats) at once, or to pick one kick, find a nice tune, then individually go to the rest of them and change their settings as well. That was never gonna work well with 60+ slices, so I made 3 copies of the program, then did a Shift + Delete to quickly wipe out all but the one hit type in each program.

This left the old events in the track, so I did an Erase, noticed that the unset pads were off, and was able to very quickly remove the orphaned events.

The problem now is that for each program, the pad assignments are kind of all over the place. For example, I only have 18 pad assignments in my Kicks program, but they're spread out across banks A through D. I figure I can go to the Program screen in Sample Edit, tap the next assigned pad to see what slice it is, then tap the next unassigned pad, pick the sample, then set it to the same slice, but the event will still be on the old pad on the grid, so I would then have to transpose it to the new pad.

Is there some way to get the same effect without having to do all of that work for each and every pad assignment/event?
