It's not a problem with multitimbral, it's just that Live midi outputs midi notes only when the midi track is selected, or at least that is my conclusion.
It works fine when i stay on the midi track, i play my synth and record everything.
As i switch to another track on Live main page, for example a drum track, it stops sending midi data to the synth

It sounds like you are not changing tracks but changing the same track from midi to drum. What are you pressing when you are changing tracks? I sequence external gear all the time have never experienced this issue.

I updated to 2.2 and now all works like a charm.
I don't know why, now as i record midi notes and change track, the synth keeps playing.
I also noticed that i can open track mute screen while playing. Great.
