I am aware that Akai has a thing with EastWest on the Akai VIP daw. But is anyone using the east west vst’s with the mpc software? X or the live.. if so, could you break down the steps on how to get it onto the mpc software. I have it hooked up and I see that the vst is talking to the mpc cause it’s showing signals of instruments being used. But I’m not getting any play back if I were to try to record a sequence.. Thanks

I have Eastwest Comple Composer Collection and didn't know Akai did VIP with EW. I don't use it on my laptop but my main computer l do which is not win 10 so l cant use the 2.2.1 yet on that computer. But l have win 10 on my laptop but lm not going to run EW through that. Its to weak.

I hope you got the latest "Play 5" sitting on your desk top. I use a PC.

Go to Edit/Preferences then to Plugins. Hit "Scan New" see if the Vst folder pops up that has the EW plugin in. If you see it then just open it in your session.

If not you're going to have to go to the box with 3 dots and hit that. Find the Vst folder where EW is and it should do it and open your EW plugin. Don't forget your ilok key.

When I downloaded play and installation center it had me save a folder called path library. I’m assuming that’s where my sounds are stored. Well I saved it in my documents . So I would I have to scan documents on my mpc scan folder ?
