Each pad to a different midi channel

Hello. I'm just learning the mpc x. When making a drum beat, is there any way to put each drum sound into different midi channels to record on multi-tracks into Logic Pro at the same time?

You could just explode the drums, then they'll have their own tracks.

Check out Page 120 of the manual. It is part of the Drums Track editor page: "The Explode function immediately splits the current track into multiple tracks—one for each distinct pad or note (pitch, not event)."

I have the habit of having a separate track for each drum piece anyway - for me it is easier to do a final mix on the whole kit. But others might work differently....

thanks everyone. i also like to have each sound on a spare track for better mixing.
