Just a heads up, if you're trying to 'sample' something using the normal 'SAMPLER' screen, you might find that after recording you no longer get the 'KEEP or DISCARD' screen, and no sample is actually recorded.
If so, check the SAMPLE button at the bottom left of the screen - usually this button is active (white) by default whenever you enter SAMPLER mode so you wouldn't normally need to press it, but I've found that if you've run AUTOSAMPLER at any point in the current session, this button becomes deactivated.
Just tap it again to re-activate it and the 'keep or discard' screen will appear the next time you sample something.
