what is the procedure to copy a sequence? i have a simple beat/sequence that will serve as a foundation for me to build upon in subsequent beats. rather than having to re-perform my basic foundation for each sequence, it would be far easier to copy the basic foundation beat/sequence and then build upon the copied versions.

you can do that easily in main section, press the pen at the right of your sequence name and press copy sequence
