Why no subgroups in MPC Live/X standalone?

Anybody know? I mix exclusively by choice in standalone only.....why no subgroup busses?

Akai have never stated why. It's one of those missing standalone features that no one seems to talk about. Perhaps most standalone users are not aware of their existance in the software. It's annoying, plus makes controller mode projects with submixes incompatible with standalone mode.

....it does!! It's a nasty little deletion since they promote mixing in this box.

....and it's 32 less inserts available as well!!!

Never used stand alone since I've had the X.. But if I would, this definitely be something I would make noise about.. I would want to be able to mute grouped instruments.. I would want to be able to put an effect on those groups, and do it 1 time instead 3 or 4.

Same thing with automation on the sub busses and master busses. Don't understand why it's not implemented..

I don't know.. Maybe I'm too DAW minded.. But since Akai wants it to become a DAW..

I only work in standalone mode and this is definitely one of the features I'm missing the most. But automation lanes is something I need for any serious arrangement and I loathe having to do that on the computer.

I'll be joining those who use stand alone mode fairly soon, but I'm 100% in the software currently. And I still don't bother to do any mixing in it due to the lack of plugin delay compensation and VCA tracks. I know many don't make use of VCA tracks, but for those who do mix in the software, how do you work around the lack of PDC? I can't even sound design comprehensively.
