That's dope. Another reason l went PC cause there is some free joints that are dope that Mac don't get.

So let me get this right Charles. I can bring in an 808 kick into this thing tweak it to sound better the way l want and take it from being short to long? I lobe that you can export it. I wonder if it export to 24 bit. Hmm

You can do that with sample edit in the MPC..
You can select the start and end and loop point and make your 808 as long as you want..

Unfortunately I signed up to be a music producer not a sound designer

I hear yah. I was the same way cause frankly l didn't know how to do it.
Guys like you l like when you Don't do it because you hire guys like me to do it for you lol  extra income.

It started, Late 90's l would take kicks and snares and stack them. I got tired of hearing the same crap and l don't want to sound like someone else. I hate it with a passion.
My very first customer was Junad who has gold albums for Slick Rick. He heard my sounds on Myspace and set up a meeting with him. Also he introduced me to Reason. :-D
Long story short he hired me for drums a making drum patterns. I was introduced to John Montgomery from ABC and worked with him and a team with my drums and drum pattern ability. People hire me to this day for it and production.

Now l do all types of sound. I got into this to be a producer but it has lead me down many lanes and that's extra income. I had no idea l would do other things. I even got paid to set up engineer's home studios. All it took was to read the manual lol Those guys didn't have the time to do it so l did it. Did it so much l did it without the manual. Just got out of Adats into Protools with the HD systems.

I find it kinda fun making new sounds no one has. I have the tools to do it so why not.
But l get what you're saying. Somethings people are not inspired by.

Peace

Dam l never used that part of the MPC live.
So l can stretch it about 8 seconds long without hearing artifacts in the 808 sound? If so lma get on that right now.

It uses synthesis to create Kick and Drums. It's a cool plug in, just have to tweak it. The VSTi user community have been making, VST clone drum machines for years. Plug in wise, there's no reason to buy them.

Z is hinting at setting loop points, you can control the length using envelopes.
When creating synths this would be single/double cycle wave.
You can also use this for a sub bass.
One of many ways, same result.
