I am new to the MPCX and I like using all 8 channels out to my audio interface to logic pro x. I am having trouble using channels 1&2 as separate mono channel out when tracking.

Appreciate any help

Without panning them hard left and right Im not sure if you can. I don't know if the X/Live are different from the software in that aspect, but in the MPC software there is no way of telling a track its mono or stereo, unlike a real DAW. Even if you're loading up mono programs, they're still coming out in stereo. When I bounce tracks out to import into Logic, they're all stereo bounces. If I were to bounce a project in Logic the same way, the mono tracks would bounce down to proper mono tracks. I don't think they thought that one through very well. Its like my old E-Mu sampler, if you want mono only, have to pan the output all the way over to one side.

Pad Mixer and Channel Mixer, you can send mono out. However while in the Channel Mixer, if you select master it will only send Stereo Pairs. 1/2, 3/4. 5/6, 7/8.
