Mission: To create a structured template specifically tailored to a crazy person's creative needs that will assist in saving time and improving workflow.

Problem: Crazy person wants to create a specific folder with sub folders for programs dedicated to drum samples, classic hardware samplers, modern analog synths, virtual instruments, and classic hardware filters and effects with MIDI control capabilities.

Partial Solution: Crazy person is using a virtual patchbay for virtual instruments and effects plugins and has created templates within that application's environment.

Problem: Crazy person can't figure out how to load customized programs for repeated use within the MPC X... :hmmm:

Are you working in stand alone or software controller mode is my first question.

Both.

I start in standalone and then elevate to controller mode...

If I understood correctly... you could create a default project with all the tracks already named (track 1 = kick, track 2 = snare, track 3 = hats, track 4 = ext synth via midi), etc, midi channels assigned, etc. Don't forget to save the project in another folder it when saving, otherwise you overwrite your template. Akai didn't made an update for a custom loaded template on startup unfortunately...

Making favourites in the browser to quickly go to those folders where the programs are located also speeds up.
