We need the Service manual, which will show the part list. So far, I've only been able to find this one 7 inch screen. So if anyone needs to replace their screen. They can buy it new or find old gear with that same part.

The part: 7" CTP + TFT Assembly
Item #: OTUMO-9135MD-1T
PRICE: $228.00 to $235.20
Work in: Denon SC5000 Prime, Denon PRIME 2, SC5000M, Headrush loopboard, HeadRush Gigboard, HeadRush pedalboard. MPC LIVE, MPC TOUCH, MPC ONE and Akai Force.

That ribbon looks stunningly similar to the 7" ADafruit Raspberry Pi Touchscreen which has a very similar response to the InMusic screen. Gonna keep my eye out for a broken MPC/Force/Denon unit for sale and test this.

OMG CLASSIC! Lmao

What version are you on. 2.6 seemed it improved on the touch screen. Im going to put in 2.7.
I think you're right about the screen size making it a tad bit difficult to maneuver.

I'm on 2.7. But I didn't really check for the screen-improvement really, since i am getting used to it more and more. Also haven't been making music that much lately, simply because i'm a lazy turd.

Can the ribbon be removed and relocated to a different position? What is the resolutions of that screen?

The ribbons can be relocated and replaced with more durable ribbons. The larger ribbon is standard DSI with l-r pinout. The resolution is only 800x480 tho, so not a 1 to 1 replacement. More of a cheap replacement curiosity.
